5 Minutes Night-Time Skin Care Routine

Suppose you are a busy person without time to do your care routine for 1 -2 hours. You feel tired, sleepy, and without the energy to brush your teeth, clean your skin, and put on some night cream. It takes a lot of time to prepare yourself for work tomorrow and sort out details for the project you are working on.

You skip one night to clean your face appropriately, and then in the morning, you feel dirty and tired. Then another night, it happened again. What are you going to do?

Plan your fast and efficient skin routine that takes just 5 minutes of your time! And in the morning, you will wake up fresh, you feel healthy, and your skin looks vibrant.

Is nighttime skincare routine important?

A proper skincare routine is not just to reduce your wrinkles or stop aging. And, it is not meant to be just for women but for men too.

During the day, your skin is influenced by sun, wind, dust, and pollution, whether you are a woman or a man. And, it is not all about the beauty and aesthetic problems. Your skin becomes irritable and dry, and that isn’t very pleasant. Your skin can get damage that can be irritating and painful

sometimes.

That is why it is vital to have those 5 minutes daily for your self-care!

~ Your Skin Has Its Own Regenerative Process, but that is not enough ~

Our skin is magical; it regenerates and repairs at night while you are sleeping. And if we help it with our short everyday treatment, we will feel much better in the morning, ready for our daily challenges.

The best time for skincare routine

According to the circadian system, the best time is after 6 pm when our skin absorbs and uses all cream or serum ingredients in the best way. That is why the daily product is different than the night ones.

Plan your daily skincare routine to be efficient

Why do you need to plan your daily skincare routine?

Most of the time, we spend our precious time searching for things or being distracted by our thoughts, so we go in circles and forget what we want to do. That is why it is crucial to plan the routine quickly and efficiently.

5 minutes skin routine template

  • Let’s consider that you have already taken a shower.
  • If you want to have white and healthy teeth and gum, you can use one trick that help’s me. Before showering, you can take cold press sunflower oil into your mouth (1 or 2 tablespoons) and shake it. Then, spit it and brush your teeth and take a shower together.

  • Most of the time, while I am showering, I brush my teeth too, which saves me a lot of time.

MIYA’s EXTRA tips for efficient skincare

  • To be ready to do this fast and efficient routine, you need all the products to keep in one place all the time, so you do not look around for them.
  • Make your monthly purchase, so you never miss the effect.

1st minute of your routine

~ Skin cleaning ~

Sleeping in your makeup is the most significant error in your skincare.

  • If you are a woman, you will start removing your makeup from your face, neck, and décolleté.
    • Decollate is very important too, and you will find out that after you turn your 40es, which is too late to treat it properly.
    • Pay attention to the eye area with sensitive skin, and easy to get dry with many wrinkles. Please, clean it 100%, and you will see results. I am turning 41 this year, and still, I do not have a lot of wrinkles considering my age.
  • For a man, it is easier to clean the face. Suppose you do not have makeup; that does not mean that your skin is not dirty. Also, there are a lot of preconceptions that if a man cleanses and takes care of his face suggests he is not masculine or manlike enough.
    • Firstly, taking care of your skin will make it clean and bright, look fresh, and feel healthy.
    • Secondly, your skin will be moist and not damaged. That way, you will avoid the itching feeling that can be annoying.

Usually, a cleanser isn’t enough to remove everything. I recommend Micellar water, a French-girl secret for perfect skin. This cleanser removes deep dirtiness or even waterproof mascara.

 ~ Tone your skin ~

  • If you have oily or acne-prone skin, toning the skin can be super valuable for balancing the ph of your skin and help refine pores and soothe skin after cleansing.
  • Please, avoid lotions that contain alcohol that can dry your skin. Furthermore, using a toner can help you with sensitive and dry skin, tone your skin, and give you a nice glow.

Treat Your Blemishes

Moreover, besides my tips about classic skincare, I suggest some extra information if you struggle with breakouts and blemishes. You can use acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid to treat this complication.

Try to treat acne treatment gel with 2% salicylic acid. It is a gentle, milky formula that moisturizes your skin and helps reduce inflammation and current and future breakouts. It is not toxic, and it is plant-based skincare.

2nd minute of your routine

~ Massager & facial oil ~

A good start is with a clean face. You can use a face oil or go straight with serum and do the massage. None of us want to look oily or greasy, and using face oil maybe sounds like too much. Our skin naturally produces sebum (oil) to protect the skin from outdoors influence.

Also, it depends on what kind of oil you use for your skin. Some oils can help to moisturize your skin, e.g., coconut oil, almond oil, or seed oil. The most significant benefit of using facial oil is skin hydration. It complements the oil naturally produced by your skin.

To stimulate your skin to produce more collagen and improve circulation, you can use any massager to support your action. One of the most uncomplicated massagers is a jade massager, which can help with skin stimulation.

3rd minute of your routine

~ Serum & Hand massage with acupressure ~

Serums contain nourishing ingredients in high concentrations. It is very efficient if you use it for treating various skin concerns: e.g., vitamin C is beneficial for reducing inflammation and increasing collagen production.

Older skin

If your skin is a bit older, you could use a serum with niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3. It improves skin elasticity as well as reduces aging. If you are fighting with open pores, niacinamide can help a lot.

For age 65+, you need ingredients that can make your skin smoother and radiant and improve texture at the same time. It should help with your skin aging and prevent a bit from sagging. Hyaluronic acid is good for hydration, but Biosaccharide boost collagen synthesis.

Dry skin

If you have dry skin, you need ultra-hydrating ingredients that help to retain moisture. Be aware that it is not enough to hydrate your skin, and you need to keep it moisturized for a while with some natural oils.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the main essential ingredients that form a film on the skin’s surface and helps capture the water molecules present in the atmosphere.

Man’s skin

If you feel a need to moisturize your skin or want it less shiny, you can use a mattifying balm.

If your skin needs boosting and age recovery, you need more active ingredients and a stimulating balm.

Efficient and fast massage

The technique involves stimulating pressure points on the face, neck, and shoulders. Acupressure is a specific technique that aims to clear tension in muscles, increase blood circulation and help the serum to integrate into the skin.

Acupressure can be effective in relieving headaches or relaxing your muscles. It would be best to stimulate essential spots on your face, and it does not take too much time. If you do it every day just for 30 seconds or 1 minute, it can drastically help your skin improve texture and radiance.

4th minute of your routine

~ Eye & Face Night Cream ~

You do not need more than one minute to apply both eye cream and face night cream. Usually, creams with good quality ingredients penetrate the skin very fast.

Night creams are typically more affluent and thicker products made with formulas designed to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin with ingredients like peptides and ceramides.

Eye Creams and serums

Eye creams are made for susceptible skin around the eye. Sometimes you can apply natural oil. It can be enough, especially if you go for a trip and do not have a place to buy any product.

If you do your regular daily routine, use some special serums or creams around your eyes to improve the skin texture.

The eye area is fragile and delicate and should be treated accordingly. Apply your eye cream or eye gel lightly using your ring finger, which has the gentlest touch, and then tap it into place to help it absorb into the skin.

For men to reduce puffiness and dark circles, they need extra care.

Face night cream

Because your skin naturally loses moisture at night and becomes tired, we need to boost it overnight. For an extra boost, finish up your skincare routine with a night cream to allow your skin to rejuvenate until morning.

Cream formulations should be easy to apply and richly concentrated in active ingredients without leaving an occlusive film.

For a man to reduce deep lines and make your skin smooth and firm, you need to apply some extra ingredients like Rice peptides’ oak and birch extracts, hyaluronic acid, Peruvian ginseng extract, etc.

If you need more information regarding some specific type of skin, what creams or serums to use, please reply, or suggest a future blog post that I can write for you.

5th minute of your routine

~ Body Night Cream ~

As much as facial skin is necessary, we should also take care of our bodies. Our body skin is thicker and more resilient and can quickly become dry and sensitive. For that reason, you can spend the last minute of your routine treating your skin well.

Step 1

Use a massager to stimulate circulation by doing the massage. That way, body cream will be better absorbed.

Step 2

Use a cream that is made from natural ingredients. For example, creams with more than 20% of bio marine and biotechnological extracts use cold processing formulas.

Creams made for the body should help with periphery circulation and help the body form an excellent protective film.

Q&A

Does the skin have a circadian rhythm?

The skin contains circadian clock genes, which regulate the function of the skin rhythm. Transepidermal water loss, skin blood flow, and skin temperature have all been shown to have circadian variations.

Circadian rhythm changes throughout the day, and skin permeability is higher in the evening than in the morning. The evening is the best time to use rich serums and night creams.

A proper skincare routine is not just to reduce your wrinkles or stop aging. And it was meant to be for women and for men too.

During the day, your skin is influenced by sun, wind, dust, and pollution, whether you are a woman or a man. And, it is not all about the beauty and aesthetic problems.
