Château des Ducs de Bretagne: This medieval castle is a symbol of the city and offers a fascinating glimpse into Nantes’ history. Inside, you’ll find a museum showcasing the history of the city and the region.
Late Morning
Jardin des Plantes: A beautiful botanical garden with a wide variety of plants and trees. It’s a great place for a relaxing stroll or a picnic.

Lunch in Trentemoult: Take a short ferry ride across the Loire River to the picturesque village of Trentemoult. This neighbourhood is known for its colourful houses and quaint streets. Enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants with views of the river.
Afternoon
Les Machines Dining and Entertainment Complex: Located on the Île de Nantes, this area offers a range of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options, making it a great place to spend an evening. A unique and imaginative attraction featuring mechanical animals, including a giant mechanical elephant that you can ride on. It’s a fun experience for visitors of all ages.
Evening
‘Paola – Le Clan des Mamma’: I know, it is an Italian restaurant but we are eating Italian well-made food. They have very good pizza and pasta and I would highly recommend it. Not to mention the ambient and beautiful design. They use natural and good quality ingredients that make so much good taste.
Remember that Nantes is a city with a lot of cultural events and festivals, so be sure to check for any events or exhibitions happening during your visit. Also, make time to savour the local cuisine, including seafood and traditional Breton dishes like crêpes and galettes.
