5 QUICK HEALTHY SMOOTHIES AND JUICES TO START YOUR DAY OFF RIGHT
There is nothing more beautiful than starting the day with a smoothie, so colorful, and healthy, which not only gives energy, but these colors affect our brain through sight. I like to start the day with a healthy drink like that. I don’t feel sleepy, yet it gives me a lot of energy to do some sports or other activities.
I often visit websites with recipes for drinks, but I have no patience to read them in detail. What attracts and inspires me is photography. I often find amazing photos and think about what ingredients I would use when making juice or smoothies.
I know what I like, and I try to imagine which flavors would be good to mix. Today I will share with you five recipes to inspire you to drink such healthy drinks. These are my drink combinations that probably already exist, but that’s what I like.
What is most inspiring to me is the color of the drink and, of course, the taste itself. As Dr. Douglas says: ‘Color preferences are deeply rooted emotional responses that seem to lack any rational basis, yet the powerful influence of color rules our choices in everything from the food we eat and the clothes we wear to the cars we buy.’ – R. Douglas Fields Ph.D.
Another important thing for me when making juices or smoothies is to be rich in nutrients. During the week, I am busy, and I need a lot of energy. I also have low blood pressure, so I often feel sleepy. I like to drink coffee, and coffee can raise the pressure quickly, but it is not the solution for me. I need constant energy because I have a lot of responsibilities. The best way, in my opinion, to hydrate the body and maintain good pressure is through juices and smoothies with fruit and vegetable mostly.
Further, I also don’t like to add water, whether it’s smoothies or juices. I usually add milk to smoothies and drink concentrated juices. That’s why you won’t see ice or water in my drinks in the recipes unless it is coconut water.
I love the pure taste of fruits and vegetables. I like juices and smoothies because I can be creative with making them, and I can combine fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, milk, yogurt, etc. And still, it will be a delicious, fresh energy booster.
There is another crucial factor when it comes to making fresh juice. I am aware that it is not easy to afford a quality juice maker. What my mom taught me from a young age is that health is most important.
Therefore, investing in health is essential, at least for me. I am a fan of cold-pressed juices because cold pressing retains more vitamins, enzymes, minerals, and antioxidants than regular juice.

Mango Juanita – Smoothie
o 1 cup | Mango | ||
o 1 cup | Greek Yoghurt | ||
o 1 teaspoon | Ginger | ||
o 2 tablespoons | Lime juice
o ½ tablespoon | Saffron | ||
o 1-2 tablespoons | Coconut flakes
o ¼ cup | Quinoa |
Mango Juanita is a very fulfilling smoothie. I love the taste of mango and the texture that Greek yogurt gives to the smoothie. Adding quinoa that gives thickens and makes it extra filling is ideal for an on-the-go breakfast. Leave quinoa overnight in water/coconut water. In the morning, mix all ingredients except coconut flakes that you can add after. Those flakes give crunchiness to the creamy smoothie.
