Balance Life Hack: Making Gifting a Part of Your Life
Gifting is something that we often overlook in our busy lives. We get so caught up in our daily routine, work, family, and social obligations that we forget the importance of helping others. But did you know that gifting not only benefits the people you are helping but can also benefit you in many ways? Gifting or volunteering can help you gain new skills, boost self-confidence, and reduce stress. So, why not make volunteering or gifting a part of your life?
How To Do It
If you’re looking to do something different, that is a path you should take.
- There are many ways to get involved in your community
- You give your time and volunteer at a local soup kitchen
- Donating clothes to a shelter or
- Participating in a charity run.
- You can even make gifting activities a part of your daily routine by incorporating small acts of kindness into your day.
- Like holding the door open for someone
- Buying a coffee for someone you do not know but believe someone is needed.
- Giving a small present or support while your friend is going through a difficult time
All sounds familiar to us. We know what we need to do, but we still don’t because we are captured in the life chaos.

Do It Now And Today
Finding balance in life is essential; gifting can help you achieve that balance. It’s a great way to give back to your community while taking care of yourself. So, take the first step and start volunteering or just give away something today. You’ll be amazed at the positive impact it will have on your life and the lives of others.
Is it really worth it?
Maybe you will think that you are wasting your time and that you can do something else. Something more productive or useful in your daily life. You are already missing a few hours in a day for your hobbies, projects, or some things you wanted to do for a long time around your house, or go to the theatre and have a party with your friends.
The good news is that some things can bring joy and balance to the everyday chaos, and you do not need to practice constantly. You can do small gestures every day if you would like to, but you do not need to. It is all about you, your decision, and when you feel ready.
Are you ready for the jump?
By meaning to be ready, I meant moments when you don’t have energy, you feel lost and confused, or you feel overwhelmed. That is a moment when you should make a decision, change the course of your life and do something.

It’s Your Choice
Choosing to volunteer, do some charity work, or just help people by sharing your energy and positivism with them is your choice and opportunity.
My choice this time is to be involved in the community. I will bake Serbian pie in New Zealand so people can experience diverse cuisine. I found a lovely place, my favorite café Magnet, and settled on the beach in Hawkes Bay where I would love to serve this one of my favorites, pie.
Irina, the owner of the place, found this activity very interesting. She agreed to my idea, which made me very happy at the very start of my interesting journey. The idea is to give a piece of pie complimentary with coffee that she serves in her café.
My Way is Gifting and Helping People
Gifting has a special place in my life because it allows me to make people happy and help those in need.
Through gifting, I have learned that my way is giving and helping people. It has become a part of my identity and helped me balance my life. Contribution has allowed me to take a step back from my own problems and focus on the needs of others. It has taught me to appreciate what I have and to be grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.
A Few Ideas How You Can Contribute
I am not rich enough to give presents and donate, which is fine. I choose something possible for me financially and something for which I can have time.
There are a lot of opportunities from which you can choose and do something nice, something that makes you feel good and happy, and a whole as a person. Look for some inspiration below:
- That can be giving nice words to a person who feels down and unhappy at the moment
- Giving a small gift as a surprise to someone who has been constantly good to others
- Helping with moving staff if someone is changing place of living
- Giving breakfast to someone who cannot afford it
- Chat with people who are alone and need somebody to talk
As you see, for these nice gestures, you don’t need much to remember that you can do it and have a desire.
My Personal Experience
The other day, I woke up hearing a bird’s song. In my garden, many birds sang in the morning, and that atmosphere triggered my imagination. My first thought was I was struggling with laziness and had no will to do what I usually do in the morning. I am having training in writing blog posts, editing videos, and packing things for work. None of these I wanted to do.
I don’t know if that is a sign of depression, but I did not want to think and focus on something bad. I decided to do something that would make me feel better and more energized.
MAKE A DECISION
What I did to change it
Firstly, I made celery juice (a medical medium recipe). Celery juice balances my low blood pressure and gives me energy.
Then, I remembered I was spending quite a bit of time in one of the cafes on the beach (Magnet), and the lady who is the owner has always been nice to us, giving some extra marshmallows and bananas to my daughter☺. I felt I would like to do something nice for her.
She always tries to bring some new and interesting food for her customers, some vegan cakes, keto slices, and some new healthy versions of snacks. That is why I came up with the idea to contribute to that diverse selection of treats and give her some fast, healthy, and tasty recipes.
Finally, I got an idea to make it more fun, and I invited her to my house to show her how I baked it so she could try it at home.
Enjoy The Process!
My house is always full of teas, turmeric latte-style drinks, wines, and whiskeys, so I offered something that would make her comfortable and happy. Then we started making pies, talking, and getting to know each other, and that was fun.
We finished two pies, and it was one more to make, but Irina left home to prepare other treats for her café.
A Big Day
The next day, I woke up, and all my dreams about mingling with the community and sharing positive energy went down the drain. The weather was bad, cold, windy and rainy. I was so sad and surprised at how it was possible to end up like this after so much good energy and will to do something positive.
How To Turn Out To Be In The End
Still, I had a hope. After all, we were keen to do it, and this is New Zealand. The weather can change very fast. And that is what happened! The weather got better, and the sun went out. It was still a bit cool but beautiful.
Sophie and I picked up pies, joined Irena in her cutest café, and had a lot of fun interacting with people from the area. Sophie made some coffee 😊 and our journey was successful and made us so happy.
