Is it possible for a mother to be able to do a full-time job and be committed to developing her career at the same time while taking an active role as a mother? What is the best way to be a working mom?

We all know that a mom’s daily life is quite similar to a gladiatorial life. There are no fights with animals or other gladiators but fights with babies, husbands, and others. Being committed entirely to work and family is a taught assignment that working moms have to take on. Quite often, women always put the needs of others first. Especially if it’s a child, and that is the most common mistake that women can make.

Studies have been done on mothers who are pursuing their careers and working full time. ‘In 2015, preliminary results of a groundbreaking study found that the daughters of employed mothers often perform better in their eventual careers than the daughters of stay-at-home moms. On the other hand, moms who were staying at home were happier.     • Your free time is vital in order to bring you a balance in your daily life. This is one of the most effective hacks. It contributes to your health. As we all know, if you are healthy and strong you can handle every task you put in front of you. For example, use evenings, when kids are sleeping, to have a bath with candles, good drink and relaxing music. Or you can paint if that makes you relax.
    • Focuses on taking days off just for yourself. You could use this time as a beneficial and valuable time for your mental and physical health by playing a sport, having a hobby, going to a spa, and so on.
    • Get enough sleep
    • Don’t hesitate to ask for help – delegate some small commitments to others, and in this way, you have time for some more essential commitments
    • Another significant move is taking care of your mental health—finding time to educate yourself and avoid stagnation. Learning, reading books, and some mental exercise can contribute to your happiness, creativity, and productivity.

EXTRA HACKS FOR BUSY MOMS

Here are a few simple and helpful tips that can help you to save time. Try to take half an hour to awaken your creativity and develop some tricks that can help you do some essential tasks faster than you would otherwise.

  • Food preparation –The best way to save a minimum of half an hour, an hour a day is to prepare most of the food for the whole week or at least for the next 4 hours. Cook lunch and dinner for the next few days and freeze.

  • Specific time for cleanings – Choose one afternoon in the workweek for general cleaning and washing. Avoid housework when you have a day off. The day off should be dedicated to you and your family, relaxation, and be filled with activities that make you happy.

  • Hire Professionals – Another option is to hire professionals once a week to clean your house and do some tasks they can.
  • Early bird – Get up 2 hours earlier than your family members. You will have 2 hours for yourself every day.
  • Create and do the job you want – If you do what you love, the job will boost energy that will help you be productive. Find what inspires you, take some time to pursue what you love, and work on slowly shifting from your current job that doesn’t suit you to the job you’d like to do.
  • Public transport – If you would like to be more practical, use public transportation. That way, you will have time to read, answer your emails, think, and so on.
  • Work arrangement – Be open to an alternative arrangement regarding your work. You can work part-time or remotely. That doesn’t mean that you will jeopardize your career.
  • Plan B & C – Always have plan B and plan C for all your priorities. Life is full of suppresses and unplanned events. For example, your kid can get sick, or you have some changes at work, so all plans, schedules have to change. But, that is ok. You need to relax and go with the flow. Rearrange your appointments, essential tasks, and all other things you need to do.

  • Family supports – If you have relatives who live nearby, try to organize with them to sometimes look after your children or if they can help with some obligations. 
  • Special events & outings – Always organize some pleasant events that suit you. Is it going to the theatre, cinema, and zoo with children, or is it just a picnic or a weekend tour. Events like this help us not to feel tired. They give us strength and will, and then the feeling of stagnation is lost or that the only thing we do in life is cleansing and some less exciting activities.
  • Music & Audio Books – Thanks to technology, we can speed up time. It means we could use tools while we are doing something. While we do some ordinary things where concentration is not needed, such as cleaning, washing dishes, ironing, vacuuming, and other responsibilities, we can listen to music or audiobooks. This way, time will pass faster, and maybe we will learn something.
